Launch Reflections
Launching Aysha Hansen Fine Fragrances has been the result of a lifelong passion and personal journey with fragrance.
Storytelling through scent for me is a form of expression, connection and a fundamental desire to create something of beauty and to evoke emotion.
To see people connect and respond so positively to my work is something of a wonder to me.
Thank you for being part of this journey.

I first sprayed the fragrances on blotters and immediately liked Ambrosia.
However, my skin revealed an entirely different story.
My favourite of the three is Ghost Lover - a full-bodied, dark, and slightly medicinal amber. I spritzed it in the morning and kept smelling my wrist all day long. Truly opulent and addicting.

This is an exceptional debut collection from a very talented Australian perfumer. It’s clear here that Aysha wants the wearer to feel and share her joy for all things beautiful in this world. I know I’ve used the word “joy” quite a lot in this review, but that’s exactly what you get here! I’m incredibly impressed.

Thank you to @paperbackperfumes for putting me onto Victorian perfumer Aysha Hansen.
Ghost Lover is a freshly baked cardamom bun, drizzled in just the right amount of sweet vanilla glaze. A spiced, woody amber that refracts light and draws you in. A comforting hug, hands wrapped around a mug of milky tea.

Golden Thread, which has notes from pretty much every beautiful white flower (gardenia, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley), Ylang, and banana is masterfully blended. The banana is *accurate* banana — not synthetic, not candy-like, just a peeled ripe banana that’s creamy and softly sweet. The same is true for the Ylang: Aysha has taken the best parts of Ylang and added them carefully, in a way that’s subtle and not overpowering.
If I had to paint you my own picture of Golden Thread, it would be the most exquisite lei, strung with precious white flowers, warmed by your neck and the morning sun so that its fragrance projects in a soft cloud around you.
