Eau De Toilette denotes the percentage of perfume concentrate in a fragrance which can range between 5-15% in a mix of perfumers alcohol. Longevity should be between 2-3 hours.
Eau de Parfum is stronger and has a higher percentage of perfume concentrate being between 15-20% which means the fragrance lasts longer, 4-6 hours.
Fragrance works really well on well moisturised skin, laying your perfume over an unscented body cream or oil can help promote longevity.
Traditionally pulse points like the wrists or the nape of your neck are recommended and with good reason. I like to spray perfume at the nape of my neck and under my hair so I leave a fragrant trail.
Fragrance is very personal; there are no rules as to whom should wear what. I believe if you like it, wear it and do so whenever you feel like it!
Always store your fragrance in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight. I would recommend keeping your fragrances in your bedroom and out of the bathroom.
Some perfumes can stain if you spray them at close range to your clothes, the colour of the fragrance is determined by the ingredients, and these can be very dark depending on what they are. Always spray a fine mist around 30cm away from yourself just to be safe.
